All are for sale. The opening reception and awards take place on Saturday, June 7th from 5:00-8:00PM. Admission is free and the exhibit is family friendly.

The Famous Bed Race down Main Street celebrates Madam Lou Bunch who in the late 1800s opened a brothel for the many miners looking to strike gold on the “Richest Square Mile on Earth”. In the face of a tuberculosis outbreak, she became a hero. Festivities include the Famous Bed Race down Main Street at 3:00PM, live music, a face painter for the kids, performances by The Infamous Backroom Cabaret and The Wild Bunch, a costume contest, and, in the evening, the Madams’ & Miners’ Ball in Main Street’s Monte Lobo for ages 18+. Enter a Bed Race Team and win $500.

In addition to a performance by the 2025 cast of the Central City Opera, The Belvidere Foundation invites guests to experience a newly-renovated Shoo Fly (Wisebart Hall) at the Belvidere Theater. Now the home of the Central City Visitor Center (139 Nevada Street), a carefully curated collection of historic photographs adorn the walls illustrating what this town, dating back to 1859 and the Gold Rush Era, once was. Dinner is provided by JKQ BBQ.
